Message Standards

  • Standard Testing Process

Background: All participating organizations are required to test their sample data against the standard and correct to comply as needed. Once a new trading partner passes the standard they can invite trading partners to test with them before moving to production as a trading pair for one or more transactions. Trading partners approve each new trading partner and transaction set based on tests in the test environment to minimize surprises at go-live.
  • Select from the Standard Transactions

Continuity of Care Document (CCD) - Canonical Guide

The HIE is offering a standard mapping of the CCD transaction. Any organization contracted with the OneHealthPort HIE can test the CCD format and be certified to exchange CCD messages with trading partners on the HIE.

HL7 Canonical Guide (Lab, Rad, ADT)

The HIE has combined the more routine HL7 transaction components for Lab and Radiology results reporting with the ADT transaction as a single companion guide for HL7 implementations.

Immunization - Canonical Guide - Not in Active Use

The HIE developed the ability for practices, pharmacies and healthcare organizations to report and request information from the Child Profile Washington State Immunization Registry. This is a bi-directional transaction set that has not been implemented by DOH Child Profile and is on hold awaiting the State agency.

ePrescribing Canonical Guide - Not in Active Use
The HIE developed this transaction as a local option for pharmacies and providers for new, refill and refill request prescription transactions. The HIE does not plan to offer Medication History, Drug Formulary or pharmacy benefit details. SureScripts is the current suggested clearinghouse for these ePrescribing related support transactions.

Eligibility and Benefits Canonical Guide - Not in Active Use

Batch or real-time eligibility and benefit transactions from your Practice Management System, Hospital Information System, or other business or clinical system was developed because it can reduce the staff web transactions or phone calls to confirm eligibility and benefits on patients you are planning to provide care. There are NO TRANSACTION fees from Payers answering eligibility queries direct via the OneHealthPort HIE.

  • Non-Standard Forms and Transactions

The OneHealthPort HIE reserves the right to host non-standardized community forms and transactions. Each non-standard form or transaction will be standardized for local use, as national standards are developed for the non-standard area, the OneHealthPort HIE will define a timeline to move to the national standard.

Admission Discharge Notification (ADN) - Canonical Guide

The HIE is offering a Community developed Admission Discharge Notification transaction for Hospitals and Health Plans/Payers.

OHP Community Referral and Consult Report - Canonical Guide
Ready for Use. This is a community defined referral and consult report supported in both xml and an editable pdf document for trading on the HIE in a secure fashion.
