Practitioner Credentialing Policies & Guidelines

Historically there have been a number of projects to streamline the paper process around Credentialing in Washington State. As a result of SSB 5346 OneHealthPort lead a new effort to select a common data collection vendor and implement a process to simplify the collection of provider data for Credentialing and Privileging. This new data management process is in place and is being implemented across the State of Washington. The goal in 2011 is to focus adoption on Credentialing data collection. The Priviledging process is much less standardized and will require additional planning to fully understand the opportunities to simplify data collection in this area. In 2011 OneHealthPort will work with a Priviledging workgroup to identify common form opportunities and collection of individual hospital priviledging forms. The goal in 2011 for Priviledging data collection is to identify opportunities to standardize as much of the data collection process as is reasonable.
