    Pointshare Notice and Eligibility Options

Many of you have contacted OneHealthPort about the recent Pointshare/Siemens notice regarding service changes, especially as to when OneHealthPort might be adding Washington Medicaid eligibility and other payers to complement our current list of participating payers. We also received a number of questions about other sources of eligibility data.

Due to systems changes underway at Medical Assistance Administration (MAA), which administers Washington Medicaid, this information cannot be added to OneHealthPort until 2007 at the earliest. We are currently working with a number of payers, including Washington Medicaid, to add eligibility to our trusted community.

At this time, a number of eligibility options are available in the marketplace. As a public service, OneHealthPort has listed some of these options below. These offerings are presented strictly for your information; OneHealthPort does not endorse any of these services. Also, please note, some of these options will require payment by providers to access the information.

      1. For an overview on the enrollment, registration and site use for Washington Medicaid direct access, click on the tutorial link and tour the WaMed. http://fortress.wa.gov/dshs/maa/WaMedWebTutor/

      2. Provider Advantage has been serving the Pacific Northwest since 1991. To gain access to eligibility and benefit data for Medicaid, Medicare, and other local and national commercial health plans, contact Customer Solutions at (800) 203-5465 or visit the website at www.provider-advantage.com to learn more.

      3. HDXpress is the replacement for the old Pointshare/Siemens services. Information is available at https://www.hdx.com/Services/hdxpress.asp.

Quick Tips for Subscribers: Forget Your Password? Need Help?
Here are few easy ways to make your job easier. If you can not remember your password:

      1. Click on the "Forgot Password?" link to see if you have secret questions in the system so you can reset your own password.

      2. Ask your OneHealthPort Administrator to assist you with a password reset by logging into their Manage my administrator account link from the OHP website.

OneHealthPort's Support Desk is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to assist with password and registration problems. The Support Desk will log problems and investigate concerns about system outages 24 hours a day. Contact the Support Desk at 1-800-973-4797 (toll free), email onehealthport@cybertrust.com or fill out our online form.

New!! Easy Reference Sheet for Administrators Offers Best Ways to Assist Users and Manage Your Account
What are the best ways to assist your users and manage your account? Find out in OneHealthPort's NEW Administrators' easy reference sheet. This new resource is available at http://www.onehealthport.com/use_ohp/accounts.php Print off a copy and keep it handy for quick reference.

For full detail on how to manage your OHP account you can also access the Administrator's Guide online. It's easy to access the Guide: simply click on "Manage Your Accounts" in the top toolbar on the OHP home page, then click on Manage my administrator account to log in to the administrator's menu. The Guide is on a link just below the menu.

Easier Access to Premera Blue Cross
It is no longer necessary to go through the "Terms of Use" page every time you login to the Premera Blue Cross website through OneHealthPort. Effective as of March 31, 2006, you will not be asked to agree to terms, unless there is a change to the Agreement. This means there is one less step to take to access secure information from Premera Blue Cross. Premera Blue Cross made this change based on feedback from providers. Now accessing Premera is the same as for all of OneHealthPort's other participating sites.

    News from Regence BlueShield
BLUEEXCHANGE OFFERS ACCESS TO NATION-WIDE MEMBER ELIGIBILITY AND BENEFITS
Regence BlueShield now offers access to nation-wide member eligibility, benefits and claims for Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield, NASCO and Federal Employee Program (FEP) members with BlueExchange.

BlueExchange is secure, HIPAA-compliant and available from the home page on Regence Online Services. Select either Eligibility or Claims from the left-hand navigation under Other Blue Plans. You will then be directed to The Health Information Network (THIN) Web site to input your patient's specific information.

      - To check a member's eligibility and benefits, you will need their name, birth date and ID number including the alpha prefix.

      - To check a member's claim, you will need the provider's name and tax ID number; the member's name, birth date and ID number including the alpha prefix; and the claim's date(s) of service.

BlueExchange sends the inquiry to the member's home plan, which in turn responds to BlueExchange with the inquiry results. The results are available on Regence Online Services within 75 seconds of submission.
