Message
from OneHealthPort's President
Dear Subscribers,
Welcome to OneHealthPort's "new" newsletter.
We hope you enjoy this format and continue to
find the content useful. Over 1,300 subscribers
took the time to respond to our recent survey,
and, 95% of those who responded indicated that
they read OneHealthPort's newsletter. Also,
more than half of the respondents took time
to give helpful suggestions and comments, including
some nice compliments. After reviewing all the
responses, we've decided to tweak but not fundamentally
change the newsletter style. And, we'll be emphasizing
those subjects you told us were of most interest,
such as how to derive more value from participating
sites.
Read the article on the survey results in
this newsletter for more about what OneHealthPort
subscribers are telling us about the service.
We will continue ask for your opinion, listen
to what you have to say and work hard to respond
to your comments and suggestions on how to make
the OneHealthPort's trusted community even more
valuable.
Sincerely,
Richard D. Rubin
President & CEO, OneHealthPort |
Results
of Subscriber Survey: What You Like; What You
Want
OneHealthPort's recent satisfaction survey indicates
that OneHealthPort has become an important part of
providers' workflow, with 86% of respondents indicating
they are either satisfied or very satisfied with OneHealthPort
(slightly up from last year's 85%). Usage of OneHealthPort
also continues to increase: more than half of the
respondents use OneHealthPort at least once a day;
75% log on at least a few times per week.
Many of you took extra time to include comments
about OneHealthPort and, overall, people say using
OneHealthPort saves time and increases efficiency.
These comments are representative of the hundreds
we received:
- My overall experience has been really good. The
site almost never goes down and that makes my job
easier.
- I like being able to use one sign on to access
various secure sites with just one id and password.
- Eliminates having to be on the phone "on hold"
a lot. It made my life here as the referral coordinator
much easier and less stressful!
- Easy to use, saves a lot of time compared to using
the telephone.
- It is nice to go to one spot and be able to access
all the different insurance companies.
What do OneHealthPort subscribers want? Many people
requested access to the web sites of more healthcare
plans, something we are always exploring. Your observations
about participating healthcare sites have been forwarded
to the appropriate organization (since comments are
anonymous, you will not get a reply; but be assured
your suggestions are taken seriously).
Thank you for taking the time to participate in
this survey!

OneHealthPort
Launches Healthcare Career Network
Qualified job seekers and healthcare organizations
interested in hiring new staff can now connect with
each other through the Healthcare
Career Network. Available to members within OneHealthPort's
trusted community, this service is free to job seekers;
for a nominal fee, employers and recruiters can browse
resumes or post employment opportunities to target
OneHealthPort's specialized audience.
OneHealthPort subscribers will not use their OneHealthPort
login or passwords to access this service and must
register separately. This also allows healthcare workers
who are not currently employed to use the career service
without an employer sponsor or a OneHealthPort digital
credential. Check out this new service at (add link).
Regence
BlueShield to Offer Consumer-Directed Care
Regence BlueShield will soon be offering the "Regence
Engine," an interactive environment that can advise,
navigate and reward members in all their health care
decisions.
The Regence Engine provides comprehensive learning
tools to help members better understand their health
care coverage options; more easily communicate with
the Regence BlueShield service team; join local health
events and programs; and research and plan for future
health care needs. It will also encourage members
to pursue health-minded activities through a rewards
program.
Available only to Regence BlueShield members, the
Regence Engine replaces Regence Online Services for
Members, offering a more dynamic, interactive experience
with expanded resources.
Tools and information on the Regence Engine are
designed to provide the highest quality health-related
content that will be integrated with each member's
health care coverage. This includes nationally recognized
health care resources such as Subimo®. Regence BlueShield
recognizes the importance of giving providers access
to the same data as its members and will have this
enhancement available via Regence Online Services
for Providers in October.
Updates
from Premera Blue Cross
New and Improved Incident Questionnaire Process
The Premera Blue Cross Incident Questionnaire (IQ)
is now available online in the provider portal and
the member portal to expedite claims processing of
potential accident or third-party liability claims.
This new accessibility is designed to support more
members filling out their forms at provider offices
following a medical visit.
Claims with an injury diagnosis will only be pended
if the billed amounts are $1000 or greater; in the
past, claims with an accident diagnosis were pended
if the billed charges were $500 or greater.
After a claim is pended due to an injury diagnosis,
an IQ will be sent to the member if $2,000 or more
have been paid out for that specific diagnosis. An
IQ will be sent at any dollar amount if the claim
indicates auto or work-related. Prior to this change,
Premera sent an IQ form to the member for those claims
where $1,000 had been paid out.
It is Premera's hope that these enhancements will
assist you with fewer claims to stop for an incident
questionnaire as well as assist in expediting claims
payment.
Online Benefits Information Update
Premera Blue Cross streamlined the benefits information
listed on the provider and member portals of their
Web site to improve efficiency. Since then, the Benefits
& Limits tables on the member, employer and provider
portals have been redesigned to increase service excellence
and more accurately display benefit details. The benefit
limits table now includes remaining deductible and
benefits limit amounts.
As of August 31, Premera also added previously removed
benefit and limits information. A partial list of
benefits categories that were added include:
- Emergency Room
- Rehabilitation (PT, ST, OT and MT)
- Spinal and Other Manipulation
- Mental Health
For a complete list of benefits, please call the
Customer Service number listed on the back of the
member's health plan ID card. To obtain eligibility
and benefits information for specialized procedures,
including transplants, please call or fax Care Management
to request a Benefit Advisory.
Asuris
Northwest Health to Introduce Consumer-Directed Care
Asuris Northwest will soon be offering the "Asuris
Engine," an interactive environment that can advise,
navigate and reward members in all their health care
decisions.
The Asuris Engine provides comprehensive learning
tools to help members better understand their health
care coverage options; more easily communicate with
the Asuris service team; join local health events
and programs; and research and plan for future health
care needs. It will also encourage members to pursue
health-minded activities through a rewards program.
Available only to Asuris Northwest Health members,
the Asuris Engine replaces Asuris Online Services
for Members, offering a more dynamic, interactive
experience with expanded resources.
Tools and information on the Asuris Engine are designed
to provide the highest quality health-related content
that will be integrated with each member's health
care coverage. This includes nationally recognized
health care resources such as Subimo®. Asuris recognizes
the importance of giving providers access to the same
data as its members and will have this enhancement
available via Asuris Online Services for Providers
in October.
