OneHealthPort to Offer Free Online Training Seminars

SEATTLE, WA -- April 22, 2004 -- OneHealthPort is launching a pilot series of free "webcast" training seminars for healthcare providers who use the Seattle-based Internet security service to access online services offered by local health plans and hospitals.

Designed to help healthcare professionals get the most from OneHealthPort's participating sites, these "live" one-hour webcasts will focus on two topics: "How to Navigate Online Eligibility Applications" at participating health plans, and "Training Tips for OneHealthPort Administrators." Participants need only a computer with an Internet browser and a telephone line.

Offered at noon on both May 12 and May 26, the webcast on "How to Navigate Online Eligibility Applications" will provide an overview of the eligibility applications available through OneHealthPort. Staff from Regence BlueShield, Group Health Cooperative, Premera Blue Cross and First Choice Health will present an overview of how to easily navigate their site's online eligibility applications, offering tips and workflow shortcuts. Information on LifeWise Health of Arizona will be presented in future webcasts.

The webcast on "Training Tips for OneHealthPort Administrators" will be offered at noon on May 6 and 25. It will focus on how to nominate and manage users, add tax IDs, and get the most from utilizing OneHealthPort's secure digital credential.

OneHealthPort subscribers can register for these free webcasts at www.onehealthport.com/about/regform.html. Participants will be given a toll-free number, a website address and a password to enter the webcast. Everyone who completes one of the inaugural webcasts will receive a Starbucks' coupon.

OneHealthPort is a Seattle-based healthcare security service founded by local healthcare organizations, including The Everett Clinic, First Choice Health, Group Health Cooperative, Premera Blue Cross, Regence BlueShield, and Health Services Northwest—a partnership of Providence Health Systems and Swedish Health Services.
