A Comprehensive NPI Directory
for the Entire Northwest
Introducing a new service for physicians and healthcare organizations in the Northwest to store NPI (National Provider Identifier) information and other important numbers. This community-wide directory will provide an easy way to share information with health plans, health systems in your community, and other providers who need your number for referrals to and from you.
With the Northwest NPI Service, instead of providing information over and over again to each health plan with which you do business, you will be able to enter your NPI once and direct all inquirers to look up your information with the Northwest NPI Service.
- You will be able to easily store your numbers in one place to share them with health plans and others
- Participating health plans in the Northwest will be able to access your NPI information without taking your time
- You will be able to print or download a report of your information for your own use, or to share with billing companies, outside health plans or others asking for your practice demographic information
The Northwest NPI Directory will be simple to use—both
for those inputting information and for those searching
for information. See our Northwest
NPI data sheet for more information.
No Cost to Contribute Data or Access Individual Accounts
You can contribute your data to the NPI service at no cost.
You can enter data online using your OneHealthPort secure
ID, or if you have larger volumes, you can submit a
file. The service is also free for anyone who wants
to access information on individuals or organizations
online using your OneHealthPort secure ID. See our NPI
Data Loading & Accessing Options one-pager to see
which option works best for you. |
Annual Subscription to Download a Standard Output File
Organizations that require information on a large number of providers may purchase an annual subscription to download a standard output file with all records contained in the Northwest NPI Service. The file is updated weekly and can be downloaded as often as desired.
The annual subscription is ideal for health plans and health systems that need to collect large numbers of provider identifiers and demographics—including taxonomy codes and descriptions. It is also ideal for health care provider organizations that need to collect large numbers of referring provider NPI numbers.
Email npi@onehealthport.com
to subscribe and see our one-page NPI
Subscription data sheet for more information.
The Benefits of the Community-Wide Directory Go Beyond Sharing NPI Numbers
The Northwest NPI Service will also be a community directory, with phone numbers and address information for healthcare organizations and physicians to share with patients. Since you will be able to link yourself to one or many entities and sub-parts, it will make it easier for other providers to understand what organizations or specific facilities you work with.
Even if you don't have your NPI number yet, you will still be able to enter your contact information to share with the community. Then every time a health plan or provider organization asks for information about your organization, you will simply be able to send them to the web site. Like the phone book, it will be free to look up individual providers.
You Help Populate the Directory, We’ll Make Sure it Gets Used by Health Plans
The strength of the directory will be in having everyone participate by entering and maintaining their information. So, as soon as the service becomes available, enter your information and invite referral partners to enter their information as well. A display at the bottom of the first page will allow you to track how many users, entities, sub-parts and practitioners have entered data into the Service.
OneHealthPort's commitment is to help recruit providers to share their data so that the Northwest NPI Service becomes a robust, comprehensive directory. We also are committed to recruiting health plans and health systems to use the resource to maximize the benefit of the Service to providers, by reducing the number of requests you receive for your information.
