About MIX

to address patient safety, cost and quality issues. Now authorized
providers and hospitals can easily, electronically access
patients’ medication history and pharmacy benefits at
the point of care from major Northwest health plans using
their existing systems and software (View

OneHealthPort has brought together the major health plans
in the region to provide information in the same way, so that
health care professionals can find the Rx information they
need all in one place.
With MIX, health care professionals can use their choice
of electronic medical record (EMR), e-prescribing application,
or hospital information system (HIS) to electronically access
their patient’s medication history for the past year,
and patient specific drug formulary and pharmacy benefit detail
from major Northwest health plans including:
- Asuris Northwest Health
- LifeWise Health Plan of Washington
- LifeWise Health Plan of Oregon
- Premera Blue Cross
- Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska
- Regence BlueShield
- Washington Health Care Authority, Uniform Medical
Plan
- And other local and national plans
Why MIX?
- Better Information Means Better Clinical Decision Making—With
comprehensive information about the medications a patient
has had filled under their health plan benefit and detailed
health plan coverage delivered in real-time at the point
of care, health care professionals can improve the quality
of care they deliver by having a better picture of patients’
compliance with chronic medication therapies; by reducing
the occurrence of duplicate therapy, drug interactions and
unneeded medication changes; and by reducing expenses for
the patient with optimal pharmacy benefit use.
- Make Sense of Multiple Formularies—With MIX, formularies
from participating health plans are shared so there is no
juggling and confusion on your end. Immediate access to
up-to-date formularies on multiple health plans is available
in the same place – through participating EMRs, e-prescribing
applications, and hospital information systems (HIS).
- Help Meeting New JCAHO Medication Reconciliation Requirements—Gaining
access to medication history from a reliable source is the
first step in meeting the JCAHO medication reconciliation
requirement.
