How It Works

CIGNA is offering enhanced security access to the CIGNA for Health Care Professionals website through the OneHealthPort 'Browser Second Factor' feature. This feature provides an additional layer of identify verification to protect personal health information online - it allows us to recognize both your OneHealthPort password and your computer.

To begin, click on the log in link below and enter your OneHealthPort user ID and password. After logging in, your computer will be checked to see if the browser is registered. If not, you will be asked to register your browser as part of the Browser Second Factor security feature. Once browser registration is complete, access is granted to the CIGNA for Health Care Professionals website.

To register your browser, answer the three or more security questions you created when you first registered for OneHealthPort (or when you re-set your password). Once the security questions are successfully answered, a 'cookie' is installed on your browser and you can choose how long the cookie remains active on that computer:

1. If you are using your regular computer and want the questions to be remembered, choose to permanently install the cookie. This will allow you to sign on in the future without answering the security questions each time.


2. If you are using a computer you normally do not use, choose to temporarily install the cookie. When you close the browser, the cookie will be forgotten and the security questions must be answered again when using that computer.


3. If your organization does not allow the use of cookies, or if your computer regularly deletes cookies, you can choose to use a browser certificate.
